Madanthyar Church Celebrates Confraternity Sunday

Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar celebrated Confraternity Sunday on December 1, 2019. Fr Walter Dmello, Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Mangalore was the main celebrant. He preached on the theme of the day "Eucharistic Lord is the foundation for the Unity of Parish community", thus stressed the importance of Eucharist in building the mind and heart of all people in the parish community. Fr Basil Vaz, parish priest, Fr Stany Pinto and Fr Rony Serrao, the assistant parish priests, Fr Jerome Dsouza, the Principal, concelebrated during the Eucharistic celebration.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the Holy Eucharist was taken in procession followed by solemn blessing. During the celebration Mrs Juliana Pinto and her family were honoured for being the main sponsors ('Pirjent') of the celebration. More than 2000 parishoners were present for the Holy Eucharistic celebration and procession.
