Mission Sunday celebration

On 18th October 2020, Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar celebrated Mission Sunday. It began with the celebration of the Eucharist. Assistant Fr Steevan Coutinho preached homily and said that every Baptised Christian is called to participate actively in the mission of Christ and it is everyone’s responsibility to be share this mission of Christ which the Church carries forward everyday.

Under the leadership of Parish Vice President Mr Leo Rodrigues, Secretary Jerald Moras the items which were brought by the parishioners were auctioned. I.C.Y.M and the Ursuline Sisters put up the food stall and contributed their share in the mission. Parish Priest Rev Fr Basil Vas guided the entire mission auction and it auction was conducted according to the Covid guidelines. Most of the parishioners supported the mission auction and contributed their share in this noble mission.
