On Sunday, 27th February 2022, our newly renovated church was blessed and on the same day Parish Community day was celebrated.

In the morning, Holy Eucharist was celebrated at 9:30 by Rev. Fr Victor George, Chancellor of Mangalore Diocese. After the entrance procession, the renovated church was blessed and then the sunday liturgy was followed.

Entire parish gathered in the renovated church to pray and to give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ.

After the Eucharistic celebration, at 11:30 AM, at Sacred Heart Community Hall, Community day was celebrated. 

During the church renovation, the entire parish gathered together and worked tirelessly day and night. From little children to elderly people rendered their selfless service in Church renovation. Therefore during the community celebration, gurkars, church renovation committee members, donors, helpers, engineers and everyone who helped in renovation were honored.

Also the achievers from our parish, Mr Vivek Vincent Pais, Mr Nelson Lasrado and Mrs Beena Fernandes were honored for their outstanding achievement in their respective fields.

The services rendered by the old gurkars were also recognised and they were honored.

Entire Church community celebrated Parish Priest Fr Basil Vas' birthday and honored him for bringing the entire parish community together and leading it in the right direction.

Finally, Fr Basil Vas thanked everyone and urged the parishioners to keep up the same unity in the parish and be a witness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lunch was served to all the parishioners present and food arrangements were done for the sick and old who couldn't attend this celebration.

Altogether 1800 parishioners witnessed this programme.
